Coming In July! My First Newsletter! Win books!

I am so thrilled to announce that I will be writing a weekly newsletter starting in July that will be distributed through MailerLite. I have written newsletters before, mostly for other organizations and I love it because I get to communicate directly with readers.

I have lots to cover!

1. Movie Set Stories: I worked for ten years on movies like Cool Runnings and The Edge as well as TV shows like Rescue 911. I have some great stories and fond memories to share that include people like John Candy, Paul Newman, Anthony Hopkins and my most precious memory of working on a mini-series that starred a man who meant a lot to me as a teenager, Sydney Poitier.

2. Exclusive excerpts from my upcoming novels: Me! Me! Me! The King Who Shouldn't Be and White Horses.

3 Zoo Stories: I was a volunteer at The Calgary Zoo for 6 years where I bathed eleophants every Thursday morning, taught classes on everything from dinosaurs to owls and roamed the zoo with snakes, ferrets and horses. It was such a great experience I can't wait to share! Funny and sometimes especially touching.

4 Subscribers to my newsletter will have the chance to win free e-books as well as a copy of the new illustrated edition of Me! Me! Me! The King Who Shouldn't Be.

5 Some funny stories my parents told me about growing up on prairie farms in the 30's and 40's as well as stories about their family dance band and their cross country adventures, including finding my Uncle Tuffy mysteriously sitting on top of the water in a slew and my grandparents getting home with the horse drawn winter sleigh, only to discover the backseat and fallen off and their three daughters didn't arrive home with them.

6 Scenes from some of the screenplays I've written. I have a two year diploma in film and did have one indie tv pilot produced (indie as in teeny weeny lol).

7 As White Horses approaches publication I will also be giving away copies of that book as well.

8 Books that have meant a lot to me. I like to revisit those books that have stayed with me through decades.

9 Current books from other indie authors you may love.

I think that's about it for the newsletter for now. I'm sure I'll think of more items to keep you, and myself, entertained!

MailerLite will be all set up within the next week.

In the meantime you can also SUBSCRIBE RIGHT NOW through my contact page here!

Can't wait to hear from you all!

Love Diane
